The Wrestling Shoe Community
The wrestling community as a whole is one of my favorite things about this sport. Beyond that, there's a whole community of shoe collectors, like myself. I've made some great friends and professional connections through the shoe community, so I thought I'd do a post on some great pages to follow if you're looking to join this community and collect shoes like myself and thousands of others.
In this community, most of the wheeling and dealing occurs on Instagram. So if you don't have an account, that's where you start. Obviously, you can follow me at @rarewrestlingshoes, but I wanted to use this post to shout out some of the biggest players in the game, as there are some great collections and shoe experts that you can find on Instagram.

Criteria To Be On This List
If you're looking to buy, sell, or trade wrestling shoes, Instagram is the place to be. Below, I'll give you the list of the top pages to follow if you're looking for cool and collectible wrestling shoes.
The Fine Print:
- All the data I used to rank these pages will be outdated as you read this. I will update it 1x annually. I will not update this list more than that, as I simply don't have the time.
- I have not personally dealt with everyone on this list. Buy at your own risk.
- If you have questions, I'm open to them. Drop them in the comments at the bottom of the post.
The Criteria I Used in Selecting This List:
- The account must be following @rarewrestlingshoes, (hey I'm a marketing guy lol)
- The account must have at least 200 followers OR a "legit" post with 10 or more comments from other wrestlers/shoe accounts (Legit posts are common in this community to leave reviews on those you've dealt with for things like shoe condition, shipping times, etc)
- Must have at least 10 shoes posted on their page OR the account needs to be at least 6 months old (scammer accounts usually get flagged quickly in this community, which is why I had the 6 month minimum)
- They must comment if they want to be featured. I added this because I don't want to feature anyone who doesn't want to be part of this post.
- The list was ranked based on followers, with a tiebreaker of number of good reviews.
How To Join The Wrestling Shoe Community & Advice
To join the shoe community, there are no requirements! But I do have some advice.
- Be 100% honest. If your shoes are damaged, tell people that. Nothing will lose you respect faster in this community than scamming others or trying to get a one up on them. Clear images and descriptions are a must.
- Start an Instagram page! Most trades and sales nowadays are occurring via Instagram. Create a page and post clear images of the shoes you have, while calling out any flaws they have. Following the pages on this list will open your Instagram algorithm up to other collectors.
- Don't tell established collectors they have to ship first and/or pay via unsecure methods like paypal friends and family or venmo. Simply put, they won't. There are too many scams unfortunately in the shoe game.
- Be up front about when you can ship out shoes after a deal is made. Long shipping times can be shady. Don't make the deal if you can't ship in a timely manner unless it's communicated up front.
- Don't make a deal and back out. Once you commit to a pair of shoes or make an offer, backing out isn't going to put you on good standards.

I'm Nolan Barger. I've been collecting wrestling shoes for over 15 years, and I'm the owner of Rare Wrestling Shoes Co. I've bought, sold, and traded more than 1000 pairs of shoes in these years and currently have around 150 pairs in my collection.
As my day job, I work for WebFX, a digital marketing agency headquartered in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
