Rare Converse Wrestling Shoes
Contrary to popular belief, converse is one of the oldest wrestling shoe brands in the world. Converse wrestling shoes have been on the market since at least the 1980s and prior to that I believe regular converses were worn for the sport. Though their brand for wrestling was short-lived, converses obviously have their place in the shoe market, and even the wrestling shoe market since they were such an early player.
Additional Information on Converse Wrestling Shoes
Converse wrestling shoes are extremely rare as I don't believe they were ever manufactured after the 1980s. They did have a partnership with Cliff Keen, a premier brand for wrestling singlets and gear (not shoes) at one point, where they released at least a few models/colorways of shoes known as "Dominators". Converse was "the shoe to have" in the late 70s according to a very reliable source (AKA my Dad lol!). I look forward in the coming years to add more converse wrestling shoes to my collection!
