Ascis Pursuit 2s, also referred to by collectors as P2s, are the second of 2 versions of the Pursuit wrestling shoe line. The Pursuit 2s were released I believe in 2001 / 2002 after the P1s were released. Pursuit 2s are known for their comfort, great grip, and extreme durability.

Colorways Offered of Pursuit 2s
Asics Pursuit 2s were released in 4 colorways. They all have a white Asics logo down the side and black leather on the toes and throughout the shoe. The only thing that changes from colorway to colorway is the sole color and the accent color throughout the shoe. That's why the four colorways are simply referred to as:
- Red Pursuit 2s
- Blue Pursuit 2s
- Grey Pursuit 2s
- Yellow Pursuit 2s
The other notes about these shoes is that:
- many collectors will refer to the yellows as "Marigold".
- the actual released colorway for the reds was known as "Scarlet"
How Much Are P2s Worth?
Pursuit 2s are very reasonable in price in my opinion. Many shoes with a following as large as theirs sell for $500+ nowadays in good used condition. Pursuit 2s can be found at times on eBay for $350 or less in a good, wearable condition. These shoes offer a cool design, but also are extremely comfortable and durable, which is why many collectors love to have these as part of their wrestling shoe collection. Pursuits (the p1s and p2s as a full line) were voted as one of the best wrestling shoes of all time in a survey I did recently.
What Differs Between P1s and P2s
Pursuit 1s, which can be learned about here, have different colorways and overall designs. The main element that was kept the same was the Asics Rotational Split Sole design. This is one of the most popular Asics soles ever used on a pair of wrestling shoes. The key difference however in this sole on the p2s over the p1s is that the heel has side treads to grip better while driving off of your foot in a wrestling match. Below is a picture of the side tread on the heel you'll find on p2s but not p1s.

Fun Fact About Asics Pursuit 2s
A fun fact about these shoes is that there is a sample pair of Green Pursuit 2s. These shoes have a huge collector following and have been owned by many big time collectors. I haven't been lucky enough to add these to my collection yet, but for those who have I'd imagine they've spend well over $500 to get their hands on them. The green p2s are a collectors favorite as this was the only known unreleased colorway of this shoe!

what type is material is the toe box made out of. i have a red pair and i’ve been wanting to get the toe box on them fixed due to them peeling and if that’s even possible?
Businesses can definitely repair these. I believe it’s suede, though I’m not positive on that. I’ve seen a lot of people get these repairs done and they look as good as new. Here’s a post that may help find someone who can help you fix these.
