Rare Rudis Wrestling Shoes

Rudis wrestling shoes are some of the hottest shoes on the market.  They first hit the scene heavily when I was in college around 2016-17, but the brand was founded in 2013.  At first, they only made gear, but in recent years they have begun making shoes.  I specialize in rare shoes, so most Rudis shoes are a bit too new for me to collect.  However, I anticipate growing this collection a lot in years to come.  Rudis has been releasing more shoe models and colorways than any other shoe brand in the market, which is why they've picked up a lot of market share from big brands such as Nike, Asics, and Adidas.   Below you can see my small, but growing collection of Rudis wrestling shoes.

About Rudis and Their Wrestling Shoes

As I noted above, Rudis is likely the fastest growing brand in the sport.  They have released over 20 models of shoes in the past 5 years, which is likely 2x or more models than any other brand.  On top of that, most of their shoes are offered in several colorways.

As a marketing professional, I can give a hat tip to Rudis from a marketing and advertising perspective. Their team has built a wrestling giant that's able to compete with the largest brands in just a few short years.  One key to this has been through sponsoring athletes.   Rudis has sponsored many recent athletes, including Kyle Snyder, Jordan Burroughs, Spencer Lee, Zain Retherford, Amit Elor, Sarah Hildebrandt, Kollin Moore, Kennedy Blades, Korina Blades, Emily Shilson, Nick Feldman, and Kayla Miracle.  On top of these athletes, they also release signature shoes and gear for wrestling legends such as Cary Kolat (who formerly had a shoe line by Nike), Kenny Monday, Dave Schultz, Ben Askren, Lincoln Mcilravy, Brandon Slay, and Stephen Neal.

What Rudis Shoes Will I Be Collecting?

By the looks of it, Rudis is around to stay.  From a collector's perspective, my focus on their shoes will likely be on their signature lines.  Signature shoes, especially those tied to legends like Cary Kolat or Dave Schultz, always fare well in the collectors market after they're discontinued.  I would anticipate the same for the shoes they're releasing for other Rudis athletes, such as their Jordan Burrough's shoes and Kyle Snyder shoes.  Most Rudis shoes are priced between $90 and $165 currently, which are standard ranges for shoes of their quality and uniqueness and I look forward to adding more to my collection in the coming years!
