Asics Pursuit 1 Wrestling Shoes
Pursuits, commonly referred to as P1s, are the first of 2 versions of the Pursuit wrestling shoe line. The other models are known as Pursuit 2s. This shoe was released around the turn of the century and is one of the most popular shoes of its time. P1s were worn by Athletes such as 2000 Olympic Champ Brandon Slay and Olympic Silver Sammie Henson.

Colorways Offered of Pursuit 1s
Pursuits were released in 4 colorways. They were:
- Camo, Black, and Dark Green
- Gray and white
- Navy Blue and Silver
- Black and Yellow
The black and yellow and navy blue and silver are likely the most common colorways to find today. The camos are the most popular and highest priced typically. The gray and white are likely the rarest of them all.
How Much Are P1s Worth?
Pursuit 1s are pretty reasonable in price for their age. Depending on the size, condition and colorway, I've seen them go for as little as $150 and for as much as $500. These shoes are very popular for collectors because they're affordable and they feature the classic Asics split sole design. Pursuits were voted as one of the best wrestling shoes of all time in a survey I did recently.
Fun Facts About Pursuits
A fun fact about this wrestling shoe is that there is a sample out there with a zebra print design. This pair of prototypes typically sells for $1000+ when it changes hands amongst collectors. It surely would have been a popular shoe if Asics released the colorway. It features the design of a Pursuit 1, with the famous Zebra colorway that was released with Asics Medalists.
In terms of Samples, there is also an ultra-rare pair of reddish-pink pursuit 1s. Pictured below are these samples!
